“South Park” attacks Trump, “the worst thing that could happen to the White House”

A new episode of the satirical series, airing Wednesday, July 23, pokes fun at the American president's embarrassment, mired in the Epstein affair. A "bold choice" on the part of the series' creators, which shows that the president has "lost his touch" in the face of this scandal, according to the American press.
In an interview with Vanity Fair In September 2024, Matt Stone and Trey Parker said they no longer wanted to attack Donald Trump in their series South Park , explaining that they no longer knew what to say about him. But for the return to American television of the satirical animated series, on Wednesday, July 23, the two friends have visibly found the inspiration to mock the American president with an episode that “may well go down as the most furious of all,” notes The Guardian .
It depicts Donald Trump as a tyrant who resides in a White House with walls covered with nude portraits of himself. He is also depicted as Satan's lover, in a scene that has particularly attracted the attention of the American press. "Are you on the list or not?" the devil asks the American president. "It's weird that as soon as the subject comes up, you tell everyone to relax." A reference to the Jeffrey Epstein case, the businessman indicted for setting up a child sex ring and who killed himself in prison in 2019; Donald Trump's name appeared, along with that of former Democratic President Bill Clinton, in a list of some 200 of Epstein's contacts published in January 2024 by the American justice system.
